We target each stage of the product lifecycle to continually improve the product’s biological and ecological integrity, reduce energy consumption in the production process and eliminate the creation of hazardous and unnecessary waste. We believe in the concept of reusing before recycling. Wherever possible, we follow this concept in our implementation and shipping processes.

Green Chemistry

When making our Organic Skin Oil, we follow the principles of green chemistry. The fundamental belief of this new movement is the importance of protecting the environment. It aims to prevent any future environmental problems that may arise and encourages sustainability. Green chemistry takes a holistic view of life, meaning its benefits can be appreciated in how we live, what we make and what we consume.

Supporting Australia

Wherever possible, we locally source our ingredients from within Australia. It’s part of our commitment to keep Earth Sisters in Australia, so we can help create local jobs and continue to support ethical farmers. The Paperbark Co. is a supplier and friend of Earth Sisters. Much like Earth Sisters, they are a family run business committed to excellent customer service and high quality products.

They are an example of a sustainable, ethical farm promoting the protection of the environment, another fundamental belief of Earth Sisters. Specializing in the production of essential oils, they use steam distillation, rather than solvent extraction, meaning less harmful chemicals enter the environment. They also preserve wetland and bushland areas of their farm in order to encourage birdlife, building a stronger ecosystem. All of these values that ethical farming encompasses help Australia grow to be a better place.
